Upward, Inward, and Outward

Our Mission

Connecting People to God
and to One Another:
Reaching Upward,
Inward, and Outward.

To gather with God’s people in united adoration of the Father
is as necessary to the Christian life as prayer.

Meet The Pastor and His Wife

With a tropical southern location and beach-laden peninsula, Florida is among one of the most unique states. South Florida—from Palm Beach through Fort Lauderdale and Miami’s metropolitan areas, south to the Florida Keys, and reaching west to the Everglades—only underscores that point of view.

Jeff and Terri Johnson

The region is often viewed as a 76-degree paradise, dripping in bling and boasting the best nightclubs, bay-front mansions and flashy cars.

Rich or poor, famous or not so much, one thing is certain: The people of South Florida need the hope of salvation in Christ. In this dense population zone, 78.8 percent of the population is lost. That’s almost 80% of more than 6 million people. 32% are from Florida, 33% are from somewhere else in the United States and 34% are from another country.

In Miramar, Terri and I are at the center of it all. Embedded in Miramar Lutheran Church, we are embraced by a church who is desperate to reach the world with the message of the Gospel.

After 25 years of what could have been considered successful ministry in Northeast Ohio, God called us here, to South Florida. We found a small group of people who have taken extraordinary steps to change their future and the future of their community. All of our training and experience in cross-cultural outreach and urban ministry seems a clear fit.

The need was so great and the opportunities so numerous that it was hard to pass up.

But this isn’t about one church. We need an area-wide movement. We must be about reaching people for Christ by developing, cultivating, strengthening, and multiplying transformational churches and leaders that will result in the message being heard by the rich and the poor alike.

Want to join us? There are a lot of ways.

We need prayer, money, and help. Look around the website for more ideas.
